Airport Transfer: We are more than happy to arrange an airport transfer for you - saving you stress and money.

Braai: The lapa features a large braai (BBQ) area. Please ask us one or two days in advance if you want us to arrange a braai pack for you. This includes two kinds of meat or fish (or a mix), a salad and a dessert. You can get drinks from the honesty bar.

Bar Drinks are available throughout the day at the honesty bar.

Breakfast: In summer, breakfast is served on one of our large sunny terraces. In winter, breakfast is served inside in the breakfast room. On request we can also serve breakfast on your own private terrace/balcony or in your room. Breakfast is served from 07.00 till 10:00.

Business service: Ask reception if you want to use the computer, fax- or copy machine.

Cage diving: Being scuba divers ourselves we know the best places for you to book a cage diving experience.

Car hire: We can help organise car hire for you – either in advance or when you get here. The car can be delivered at the airport or at De Molen Guest House. We tend to get better local rates.

Check in-out time: Check in is from 14:00. Check out is before 11:00. If you would like to stay later because you are on a late flight, please ask us about room availability and you can stay on after 11.00 for 50% of your room/suite rate.

Conference: Do it differently and get your team away from it all. Go for change and achieve your business goals through our inspiring conference facilities for up to 16 persons.

Drinking Water: It’s safe to drink tap water. If you do not like the taste, bottled water (still and sparkling) is available at the bar. In the lounge you can ask for or take complimentary filtered drinking water.

Fire place: In the lounge we have a nice fireplace for cold winter nights or romantic evenings throughout the year. Read a book from our library, serve yourself a drink from the honesty bar and let us the fire place.

Golf: We can help organise a round of golf for you. There are more than 20 golf courses within 20 minutes’ drive.

Gym: For the sporty ones, there is a Virgin Active gym 10 minutes drive from De Molen Guest House.

Home-style meals: For guests arriving late we can organise a small home-style meal. Please ask for it when you make the booking.

Helicopter flights: Get a bird’s eye view of the Cape and the Winelands . We are able to organise helicopter flips for you at short notice.

Honeymoon: We organise treats for honeymooners, but what we do is a secret...

Internet access: We have wireless internet access in all rooms. There is also a computer you can use in the lounge. Internet access is free!

Jacuzzi: Next to the upper terrace there is a 6 person Jacuzzi. Let us know 15 minutes before you want to use it, so we can set the right temperature.

Laundry: Same day service. Dry cleaning takes a day or two.

Languages: At least one of us speaks English, Dutch, Afrikaans, German, French and Portuguese.

Library: We have a small library. Please ask if you want to borrow a book. We also have a large number of magazines and newspapers.

Luggage Storage: If you are arriving very early or departing late, we are happy to store your luggage for you.

Massage: We can help organise a massage for you in De Molen Guest House or in a Spa nearby.
Parking: You can park your car safely on our fenced premises.

Reception: The reception provides, on top of the business facilities, all the little extras that can make your stay more comfortable: confirmation of your flights, shower caps, soap, sewing kit, shoe polisher, European power plugs, etc…

Restaurant Reservations: We will happily make recommendations and reservations for you. Our favourite restaurants tend to get fully booked well in advance in high season, so we try to book them as soon as you arrive.

Robben Island: We are happy to book a ticket for you. Please bear in mind that in high season you need to book al least 3 weeks in advance!

Shop: In the reception area we have a little shop where we sell products that support small projects in Somerset West and elsewhere in South Africa. Please come and see if there is anything you like and also help the local people that need it most.

Smoking: De Molen Guest House is a non-smoking guesthouse, but there are plenty of outside areas where you can smoke.

Swimming pool: We have a beautiful tropical swimming pool with several waterfalls and nice deckchairs. Swimming pool towels are available in each room.

Tea and coffee: In each room there is a coffee and tea tray, including chocolate milk powder.

Telephone: We are happy to buy a South African telephone card for your cell phone. Please check beforehand if your telephone is SIM-lock free!

Tours: We can happily arrange a whole range of tours for you. Please read our previous guests’ experiences in our information book.

Wedding: De Molen Guest House is an ideal wedding venue. We will give you the wedding day of your dreams. Please contact us for all the options.

Wines: Joris is very passionate about wines and received his education from the International Wine and Spirits Education Trust. He will gladly help you choose that outstanding wine or direct you to wine estates that haven’t been affected by mass tourism yet.

Whale watching: There are many whale watching in the are (July-Jan). We will be pleased to book a ticket for you.
